One of Shengyu water tanks material consists of wet enamel powder,as the raw sheet combine in our high-performance cold-rolled steel plate at approx. 830°C, creating an absolutely corrosion-resistant surface,which is normally called enamel coating steel plate or glasslined plate(which is more frequently used in middle east countries)

Production process of Enamel:
Enamel coating layer is a protective key to procelain enamel water heaters,it is fostered by combination of both selected mineral silicide and metal oxides in a certain temperature environment,which can be from 650°C to 830°C,and below is the process of how to produce enamel water tanks:
CNC Laser Cutting
To meet different size requirement of various water tank diameter and capacity,the hardware workshop should cut the cold rolled steel plate precisely by laser cutter.
Arch Punching or bending
Most water tanks consists of two ends covers and one middle bodies,the covers should be punched like a curling bowl shape that is convenient for welding procedure
Steel Pre-treatment Shop Blasting
To toughen the smooth steep late surface helps better contact between wet powder and steel plate,and thus hard coating could be generated in following step
Wet enamel coating
The stirring machine spray the wet glass enamel powder to inner surface of the vented water tank averagely,and the powder will be dried in a low temperature firing place,thus perfect coating thickness is bewteen 230 microns to 450 microns.
Furnace sintering
After enamel coating and drying,the water tanks are delivered into high temperature furnace for sintering,whose temperature can be as high as 830 °C,which facilitates the interfacial fusion reactions between steel and enamel powder.
Enamel layer inspection
Quality inspection needs to be conducted after production, including coating thickness, holiday test, color consistency.
